In order to offer you the best, all team members are required to complete a 12 month staff training and education course. Upon completion, the team member is considered “Canyon Certified”. Everyone in the Canyon Family works hard to complete this course and is proud to be Canyon Certified!

Practice Director

Marsha has been a Veterinary Technician since 2002. She has experience in multiple aspects of veterinary medicine including general practice, emergency medicine and shelter medicine. Marsha has a genuine love for what she does and can’t imagine doing anything else! She is married with three sons,  one step-son, one step-daughter and two grandsons. Her family also includes two furry family members, a 10 yr. old Schnauzer named Scooter and a 2 yr. old Schnauzer named Hunter. Marsha enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, outdoors, and live music venues! 


Alex has spent most of her career in Internet Tech Support but her father worked at a circus and so growing up she was always around animals! She has two dogs, Cosmo Kramer & Jace! And she also has a teeny kitty named Pyro who you may see greeting you at the clinics! In her spare time you can find her hiking with her crew!


Karin has been a part of the Canyon Animal Clinic family since 2005. She and her husband, Ron share their home with an assortment of rescued dogs and cats! She loves to spoil her grandchildren! Karin takes care of the clinic family by making lots of yummy homemade goodies to eat! Karin also takes care of our beautiful flowers around the clinic!

Nicole has a big heart for all animals! Nicole grew up having a lot of animals around the house and now enjoys life with her current kiddos, Shinner and Bailey! Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and anything she can do with her dogs! If Shinner and Bailey can't go,  neither will she! She enjoys music and has played drums for 14 years.  

Christina always had a passion for animals. She graduated from UTSA with a degree in Anthropology with some studies in non human primates. Throughout her life she's had a variety of pets including hermit crabs, lizards, fish, dogs, snake, turtles, and many more. Currently, she is the mom of two cats she rescued named Possum and Otter. She's also a mom to her fresh water aquarium critters. In her spare time you can find her reading in a coffee shop or cooking at home


Megan started working at Canyon City Animal Hospital April of 2011. Megan started working at an animal clinic in 2001 and would not know what to do if she was not working with animals! Megan has a Lab, a schnauzer mix and a beagle. She loves to spend her free time outdoors and spending time with the family!


Katy joined the family at Canyon City Animal Hospital in August of 2012. She has a Blue Heeler named Junebug & a Boxer/Border Collie mix named Gauge. When she isn't busy with Vet Tech School, her hobbies include riding and training horses. She also enjoys trainging dogs. She loves to spend any of her free time with her friends and family.


Chris is married and has 3 kids. She has two dogs. She has a Yorkie named Harley and a Terrier named MP. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, riding motorcycles and traveling . She has over 30 years experience in the veterinary field. She has done everything from kennel tech to office manager!


Jade has been in animal medicine since 2007. She is originally from San Antonio and has recently moved back from North Texas. Her family is from Louisiana and since she also went to school there she is a huge LSU fan! In her spare time she enjoys staying active playing sports and catching any live concerts and sporting events she can! She has one daughter, a "pet" daughter that is, named Siarra!


Beth started working at Canyon Animal Clinic in 1980! She is also a familiar face to the community, as she has been with Canyon Animal Clinic for many years! She says she hopes to work here another 31 years to care for your pets! Beth is married and has 2 stepchildren. Beth is often times our comic relief here at the clinics!


Cheabon, also known around the clinic as “Chea”, started working at Canyon Animal Clinic in May of 2011. She has 3 dogs and 3 cats, that are all rescues. Often times, she is fostering various animals to help find them a home! Cheabon is married and has a beautiful daughter! She stays very busy with her family and Vet Tech school!


Isabella has a Pit Bull/ Boxer mix named Mango! She also has a 6 year old Boston Terrier named, Bawstin. Isabella plans to gain experience and someday be an Animal Cruelty Officer. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with family and friends and photography.

Technician Assistant

Hannah has two Great Danes named Dolce and Tilikum. She also has several reptiles, chickens and a frog! She currently studies Wildlife Biology at Texas State University and plans to continue on to study veterinary medicine. When she is not busy with work and school, she enjoys outdoor activities, especially with her dogs, and spending time with family!

Technician Assistant

Ashleigh has been working with animals for over 10 years! She started as a kennel technician during her senior year of high school and has since continued on to be both a technician and a receptionist. She and her husband have many pets; a Border Collie named Lily, a Pit Bull named Georgia, a cat named Marilyn and a 25 year old horse, named Angel. She is currently attending A&M San Antonio and enjoys hikes by the lake and visiting the beach in Port Aransas as often as possible!


Tanner started working at Canyon Animal Clinic in 2011. Tanner started her career as a technician in 2001. Tanner also graduated from Southwest Grooming Institute of San Antonio in 1993 and is our groomer on Fridays! She has 2 four-legged Boxer kids, named Dre & Ryder. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors and especially at the lake. Dre & Ryder love to swim!

Boarding Technician

Linda started at Canyon City March of 2011. Linda helps out wherever she can at the clinic - her favorite part is loving on all of our boarding guests! She has a Border Collie named Bo Shiner. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends in her spare time.

Kennel Technician / Technician Assistant

Jackie grew up here in the Texas Hill Country and has been working in Veterinary clinics since she was in high school! Jackie has two dogs, a Husky named Lily and a Yorkie Mix named Ruggles! She also has 3 cats! When she is not busy at work or with her two children she is reading and spending time outdoors!

Kennel Technician
Belinda has plenty of experience caring for animals as she personally has six canines at home! She also has three loving cats. Most of all, her pride and joy are her two beautiful children and husband!  Needless to say, she spends any of her spare time with her family!

Bather/Kennel Technician

Sabrina has always been around animals. From the small farm at her house to an actual zoo! At the zoo she cared for the farm yard animals and some exotics! At the house, she has raised horses, chickens and sheep! Sabrina has a dog named Daisy! In her spare time you can find her riding her horses!

Bather/Kennel Technician Assistant
Anissa is the Vice President of Student Council and FFA. She is currently raising a steer in FFA, named Alabaster! She has a family of 6 chickens, two dogs, two cats and a tortoise. Anissa plans to go to A&M for a degree in Animal Sciences & Veterinary Medicine. In her limited spare time she enjoys hanging out on the river and swimming in the lake!

Bather/Kennel Technician
Arielle comes from the medical field where she was a caretaker for mentally disabled patients. She likes to care for others and it shows. She naturally fell right into place at CanyonVet. Her second full time job is being a Mom!  She owns a ferret named Buttercup and a Lab mix named Lady.  In her spare time, she enjoys painting, playing video games and collecting figurines!

Sara is a second generation groomer with 12 years of professional experience! Sara has two elderly dogs and 1 mischievous cat that keep her very busy at home! Grooming is her passion and it makes her feel good to keep pets looking and feeling great! She is patient and kind to every new friend she meets!

Amber has been a professional groomer since 2001, however she has volunteered or worked with animals her whole life. Grooming is her passion because it brings together her love of pets and her passion for making sure they are healthy and loved members of their families. Amber is a mother of two boys, Alex and Dallas. She has 4 dogs that are cherished members of her family, Magic the standard poodle and 3 mixed breeds, Dragon, Dozer, and Nova. She has also worked with different groups to assist in rescuing and fostering pets in need of homes. Amber attends continued education about grooming multiple times a year to be sure she is giving your pet the best possible care. She is also Pet First Aid and CPR certified.
