Dr. Ryan Bullock earned his Bachelors degree from Texas A&M in 1999 and his DVM from Texas A&M in 2005. He spent 6 years working as an associate at a busy practice just east of Dallas. In 2011, he and Dr. Keith Leakey decided to strike out on their own and purchased Canyon Animal Clinic and Canyon City Animal Hospital in Canyon Lake, TX. In May of 2015, they were proud to open their third location in New Braunfels, TX, called Hunters Canyon Animal Hospital. Dr. Bullock is very proud of the positive culture that has been developed at all of the Canyonvet hospitals since 2011. He says this is the result of a lot of hard work and holding our employees accountable to our 5 core values. Dr. Bullock currently serves as President of all three Canyonvet Hospitals and enjoys the management side of practice ownership. His veterinary interests include osteoarthritis, platelet enhancement therapy, and dermatology. He has two little boys that he loves spending most of his free time with, but, he is also an avid golfer and outdoorsmen. He also has two yellow labs named Augie and Andi.
Dr. Leakey graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. He spent 6 years working as an associate at a busy practice just east of Dallas, where he grew up. He started out as a kennel technician at the practice in Dallas, at the age of 18, and worked his way up and was there every summer through college! In 2011, he and Dr. Bullock decided that the Hill Country was where they wanted to try things on their own and the rest is history! One of his favorite aspects of veterinary medicine is the chance to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets. He truly believes in treating them as if they were his own. He likes to keep things fun and efficient while helping to maintain the culture we have at the CanyonVet hospitals. He was married to his wife, Megan, in 2006 and they welcomed a baby girl in 2014! They have a Schnauzer Mix named Frannie and a King Charles named Pixie. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and getting those 18 holes of golf in!
Dr. Quinn has been practicing at Canyon Animal Clinic since 1975. Dr. Quinn is also a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife, Elaine, love living at the lake and are recent empty nesters. They share their home with their 3 pets, Mijo, Cry Tiger and Chuppy. Dr. Quinn enjoys gardening, golfing and photography.
Dr. Buntain graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She has been practicing at a mixed animal practice here in Texas the last three years before joining our family in 2016. Dr. Buntain is originally from Lewisville, Texas but has found her heart is here in the Hill Country. She has a Lab Mix, named Mia. You may often see Mia relaxing in the "doctor's office" here in the clinic. She is always looking for a treat! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
Dr. Christa Lambert, a Texas native, attended University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. Upon graduation she worked at a mixed animal practice in Wichita Falls, TX before finding her way down to the beautiful h...ill country. Dr. Lambert is excited to be joining CanyonVet's family of fellow Aggies - She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. In her down time, she enjoys reading, traveling, roller skating and spending time with her lovable English Setter, Maybelline and a playful, one-eyed, 3-legged feline named Rooster Catburn.
Dr. Farrell graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. She then went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. She is originally from Dallas, Texas but is excited to experience life in the Hill Country. She can’t wait to meet your dog or cat but also enjoys working with small mammal exotics and reptiles! In her spare time, she loves traveling, reading, and any outdoor activity. She also enjoys long walks with her two dogs, Riley and Sammy!
